Telling Us Apart

Theresa and Carrie

Hello all and thank you for coming to visit us!  We are the Savvy Sisters.  That's Theresa on the left, and Carrie on the right.  Even if we spent the better half of our childhood squawking at each other, our relationship has blossomed into a fantastic and irreplacable friendship.  A couple years ago we became just a teensy bit obsessed with thrifty DIY decor.  After a while of calling each other a million times a day to talk about what project we were working on, had finished, or were thinking about embarking upon, we got the grand idea to start telling the rest of the world about them too.  Lucky you! :)  Scroll down a bit to learn a little more about each of us.

Hello! I'm Carrie. I am the older, (ahem ahem) more experienced savvy sister.   Right now I am a Stay At Home Mom, with my 5 year old son, Chris, and my 3 year old daughter, Evie, as my employers. They employ me as their maid, nurse, entertainment director, chauffer...you get the idea:) Whew!!! Who knew kids would be so much work! I have been happily married to my Hubster (aka “The Hubs”) for almost 8 years. In between tantrums, tears and laughter I try to find simple, creative, and inexpensive ways to bring some style to my house...that doesn’t involve Disney or Hot Wheels. Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy the journey with us!!

Hi! I'm Theresa, the younger Savvy Sister. That stud in the picture is my husband, Justin (whom I lovingly refer to as Beeb).  We have been married for just over three years!   We moved into our first house around the same time that we got married and thought we'd be there for a while.  We were wrong.  We are in the process now of moving, and we hope it's the last move we ever make.  When I'm not working on projects around my home, I am off at the hospital being a nurse.  I was once a staff nurse on a Labor & Delivery/High Risk OB unit and now work on that same there as a research nurse.  I love it because I still get to be a part of the fun and miraculousness that is birth but the research element appeals to my nerdy side :)  I also am in grad school now and will come out (eons from now) as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  While Beeb and I don't plan on having any children for a little while yet, we do have two cats and a dog.  And we love them.  And talk about them.  And take pictures of them.  Like these ones.

Aren't they so sweet?  I know I know, no one loves your pets like you do.  But I will do my best to spare you all my crazy cat (and dog) lady talk and instead share with you all those little things in life that are worth sharing and that you might want to hear about.  Ok probably sprinkled with pictures of my animals.
